I returned my old Lancome's sunblock bottle to exchange for this 10ml sample and I instantly fell in love with it! |
This is my favorite sunblock of all time!!! I tried a few sunblocks before, including Eau Thermale Avene's High Protection Mineral Cream SPF 50 and Lancome's previous sunblock, but they all make my face feel sticky and greasy. I would rather not put on any sunblock, which is very bad for my skin. And when I sweat, the stickiness gets worse. This is a major problem as we are living in Malaysia which is sunny and hot all year long. Well, almost.
I'm not saying that they are not good. They provide high protection to my skin from both UVA and UVB. However, I just CANNOT, take the sticky feeling I get when I touch my face, and I mean not even a little. Whereas the new Lancome UV Expert Neuroshield stays perfectly smoothing on your face. NO sticky or oily feeling at all, one gold star for that!
Yellowish cream with smooth texture |
Another reason why I love it so much is because it has three '+' behind. It is one of the few sunblocks in the market that has three '+'. You must be wondering what does the '+' means. It means that the sunblock provides triple protection to the skin from UVA/UVB and pollution. It's only available for the SPF 50, the SPF 30 one only has two '+'.
Neuroshield System is one of the successful research from Lancome which protects the skin from damage due to external pollution and other environmental stress. According to them, the active ingredients in the product will eases the stressed skin.
Here's a quick tip: SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. It tells us how long can you stay under the sun without getting sunburn when wearing sunblock. For example, an SPF 30 sunblock provides us sun protection for 300 minutes. So remember this when choosing the right sunblock to avoid sunburn!
The only disadvantage of this product is its expensive price tag. For SPF 30 PA++ (30ml), it's sold at MYR150.00 while SPF 50 PA+++ (30ml) is MYR165.00. I prefer SPF 50 because it provides more protection to the skin and it's only MYR15 extra.
You better start saving for the price of beauty is no match for those green papers =)
