It's the holiday season and everyone is in a festive mood. Of course you want to look your best in front of your family and friends, as well as your love ones. But you also want to be able to stay up all night and party like there's no tomorrow. All you need is a quick fix for that dull skin!

Kose Sekkisei Emulsion

I apologize for slacking in updates but I've been very busy with work. I'm still trying to adjust myself to my working life and master the philosophy of time management. I'll try to write reviews during weekends and scheduled them to keep up the consistency.

Now here is a product that I've tried quite some time ago.

I actually bought the emulsion together with the Sekkisei Lotion (which is actually toner but I don't know why they call it lotion). But I'll do the lotion as a separate review. 

Kose Sekkisei Emulsion

The emulsion is gel-based/water-based. So it is suitable for combination-oily skin. However, I do feel that it is harder for my skin to absorb the product. The emulsion stays like a layer of protective shield on my skin. I can feel it if I rub water on my face, the emulsion can be wash off easily. (Of course, no one is that stupid to apply the product then wash it off. I'm just trying to give you a better picture of what I'm trying to say) 

I can also smell alcohol from the product and the scent is strong . I'm not sure how many percent of alcohol does the product contains but it ain't little. Alcohol actually dehydrates skin so it is surprised to find out that moisturizing product contains alcohol. My skin was a little irritated by the alcohol as I have very sensitive skin. So it feels itchy when I first applied it and there were some rashes too. 

Gel-based moisturizer is perfect in cold/chilly weather but it's hell when you are under the hot sun. When you sweat, the gel-based moisturizer also melts. It will make your skin feel itchy, sticky and uncomfortable. There are definitely pros and cons for gel-based moisturizer.

This is a product that I would never purchase again because I feel that it is not as effective as it claimed.

Organix Revitalizing Pomegranate Green Tea Anti-Frizz Serum

Here's another product i got from Skin l@b by tns. It is by Organix, from the USA. 

As mentioned on its name, the product contains pomegranate and green tea extract which is antioxidant rich. It is said that the two organic extract helps to revitalize hair. This will keep hair healthy and eventually grows longer and longer, in long term.

The texture of the product is very thick and sticky. I was worried that it will make my hair oily or sticky but surprisingly, it doesn't, at all!! I wear it whole day long and my hair still feel smooth and oil-free. The hair serum also has a nice fruity scent.

Well, I would not say this is the best hair product I've ever used but it's not the worst either.

Wishlisted! Neutrogena Hydro Boost Mask

This is an absolute MUST-HAVE to all girls!!!
It's like an intense hydrating therapy at home. I would use it when I had really really stressed and hectic week and skin looks dull and dry. Because I tend to ignore everything about myself when I'm busy.
This product is just amazing! My skin feels hydrated and refreshed after using it. It's also softer and bouncier. 
Let's start with the material used to make this mask. It's called the SMART-FIT fabric which contains 14000 micro-holes. It is designed to hold 25% more Hydro Boost hydrating essence. And I also believe that the holes allow the skin to breath while it is infusing the essence.

Apart from that, the Hydro Boost Mask essence is also specially formulated to boost skin moisture level by 14 times (proven by Neutrogena itself) and to prevent moisture loss to the skin.

Skin's moisture level defines everything, it's the base to healthy glowing skin. It's important to keep our skin hydrated, especially when we have to go out, exposing our skin to the harmful UV rays or be in an air-conditioned room for long hours. We would not realize the harm that the environment will do to our skin everyday but in long term, we will! And it will be too late because the damage has been done. So the best thing to do is to maintain our skin everyday.

Oh and the mask is about MYR11+ per piece. I'm not really sure about the price, do check it out yourself at any beauty store like Guardian and Watson. By the way, Watson sometimes has sales for this product.

liese Hair Cocktail Moisturizing Hair Serum

Another product of liese that is not quite satisfying, sad to say. It is not as bad as their hair hydrating mist that I've previously reviewed (liese Mixed Berry Hair Hydrating Mist), though. My hair does feel a little smoother after I applied it (and I mean very little).

Something special about this product is that it is 2 in 1. It consists both nourishing water and anti frizz oil. I used to buy them separately. It'll first spray on vitamin water then top it with hair oil which must costly. Now, I can get the best of both world from liese's hair cocktail. Shake well for the 2 layer to blend together before using it.

It comes in 2 formulations. There is another light one, which is in blue/green color. The reason I got this one instead of the lighter is because I wanted to allow my hair to absorb whatever it can and hopefully repair the damage. Plus, both comes in the same price, MYR 32.00, so why not get the one with maximum effect.

The hair serum has a peachy smell which I absolutely LOVE! It smell so good that I wanted to drink it hahaha

liese Mixed Berry Hair Hydrating Mist

This is one of the new products brought into Malaysia this year. I LOVE its berry scent!!! It makes my hair smells so good!!!

I got both together during their launching promotion

However, that is the ONLY good thing I can say about this product. It does nothing to my hair. It's not any smoother or softer or shinier, even though it is suppose to. It leaves my hair feeling sticky. Then I tried giving it some heat by blow-drying after I apply the product on my hair, it did feel better.

The hair mist is MYR32.00 for the 200ml bottle which comes with a sprinkler bottle cap. They also have a 340ml refill bottle (I don't know how much it cost).

My virgin hair is naturally straight and fine. Due to everyday shampooing and constant contact with chlorine, my hair is now dry and fizzy, especially at the ends. So I have been trying to look for nourishing hair product for some nutrient and hydration boost  Hopefully I can restore its original condition.

But I'm very disappointed with this product,
it is an absolute waste of money! :(

Facialderm Face & Neck Cloth Mask -- Aloe Vera

Hi my beautiful people! Remember that I bought some products from Skin l@b by tns a couple weeks ago? Well, this facial mask is one of them.

It's called the Facialderm face and neck cloth mask. They have 6 different formulas with different function: aloe vera (ultra-moisturizing and calming), cucumber (anti-stress and relaxing), green tea (antioxidant and anti-aging), royal jelly (firming and anti-wrinkles), seaweed (revitalizing and regenerating) and ginseng (invigorating and nourishing).

What's so special about this facial mask is that it also covers your neck. It comes in two separate pieces. One for the face and one for the neck. I just tried the aloe vera one. My skin feels good...very smooth and refreshed. The mask contains Vitamin E and Pytho-collagen. Pytho-collagen is an amazing moisturizing and nourishing ingredient for skin. It is also helps the skin from aging. Plus, it is paraben free. Paraben is commonly used as preservative in cosmetic products.

It's MYR10.00 per piece, a bit too expensive for something that only last for 15 minutes :( But compared to some middle range facial mask from other brands, it's not so bad either. There's an extra piece for neck and the ingredients are organic.

Actually, all products sold in Skin l@b by tns are organic. This is why I love it so much! No Genetically Modified Organism used. Fragrance and preservative are hardly found in their products (except for this facial mask), which is also why that they awful smell. They do have some products made from flowers like rose and jasmine or fruits like orange. Those definitely have the scent of their main ingredient. The only not-so-environmentally-friendly part of this store is that they have to ship in all the products from oversea. It's sad that the level of environmental awareness in Malaysia is still very low.
